Cloud payroll, built by people who had to do it the hard way.

MyPayrollOn grew out of a real problem: running payroll for a South African business using a combination of spreadsheets, a desktop payroll package that only one person knew how to use, and a frantic month-end scramble to get EMP201s filed before the SARS deadline.

We are the same team that built ManufacturedOn (an ERP platform) and MyAccountsOn (cloud accounting). Payroll is the third piece of the operational puzzle — and the one where SA-specific compliance matters most. There is no way to build a credible payroll product by bolting SARS rules onto a generic global platform. So we built one from scratch, for South Africa, with the 2025/26 SARS tax tables and the full EMP201 / EMP501 / IRP5 cycle built in from day one.

We use the product ourselves to run payroll for the parent business. Features land because we needed them — not because a competitor's feature matrix demanded them.

What we believe

• SARS compliance should be automatic, not a manual checklist.
• Employee data is sensitive. It lives in South Africa, encrypted, under your control.
• Audit trails are not optional — especially when SARS or the CCMA comes asking.
• The customer's data is the customer's, not ours.
